CVS: Free Nuts and Pretzels for .28 cents

I stopped at CVS this morning to use some CRT coupons that expired today. The following purchases were made:

2 small bags of CVS nut mixes (.99 cents each; used $2.00/2 CVS nut CRT coupon=FREE)

2 bags of CVS pretzels (on sale .79 cents; used $1.00/2 CVS pretzels CRT coupon=.28 cents each)

Total was .56 cents.

CVS: Free Neosporin Lip Hydration Therapy

I made a quick stop at CVS this morning. Tubes of Neosporin Lip Therapy (normally $5.49) are on sale for $2.78. I purchased two tubes and used two $3.00/1 printable coupons HERE. Both of them were FREE! These will come in handy for chapped lips when the cold weather arrives shortly.

CVS: Great Deal on Tide Laundry Detergent and Dawn

CVS is running a wonderful promotion this week on select Proctor & Gamble products this week. If you purchase $25.00 in participating products, you earn $10.00 in Extra Care Bucks.

On Tuesday, I purchased four bottles of Tide laundry detergent ($6.00 each) and one bottle of Dawn ($1.00) to reach the required $25.00 total. Then, I used a $5.00/$25.00 coupon for taking the flu survey HERE. I also used four $1.00/1 manufacturer Tide coupons and one .20/1 coupon from the recent Proctor & Gamble insert. After coupons, my total was $15.80. I paid using a $10.00 Extra Care Buck and $5.80 on a CVS gift card that I received for transferring a prescription. And, I earned a $10.00 Extra Care Buck for purchasing $25.00 worth of participating Proctor & Gamble products. What a great deal!

CVS: $20.00 Prescription Gift Card

What a crazy weekend it was for my family! My son was hospitalized on Friday for asthma related breathing problems and I spent the weekend in the pediatrics unit with him. Thanks to the IV medicine, nebulizer treatments and excellent care of the staff, I'm pleased to report that Aiden is feeling much better and was released from the hospital today.

Remember my post HERE about the prescription coupon for Target good on new or transferred prescription? I had one of his prescriptions filled at CVS this evening and they happily honored the Target prescription coupon. So, I now have a $20.00 CVS gift card to use on future purchases. When life hands you lemons......you have to make lemonade!

CVS: August 30, 2009 Shopping Trip

I had a $10.00 ECB that was about to expire, so I ventured into CVS this morning. The following purchases were made:

1 Glade Soy Candle ($6.99; used $2.00 printable coupon HERE)

1 Clairol Natural Instincts Hair Color (on sale $4.99; used $4.00 coupon from the August 2, 2009 P&G insert)

5 boxes of Nabisco crackers/cookies (on sale for $1.00 each; used two $1.00/2 manufacturer coupons from the Kraft Back to School Booklet discussed HERE)

5 CVS candy: three Swedish fish and one gummy worm (.99 cents each)

Total before coupons was $21.93. In addition to the coupons detailed above, I used a $4.00 off $20.00 coupon from the auto fill booklet. This brought my total down to $9.93. I paid with my $10.00 ECB and a few cents change from my pocket. Then, I earned $9.99 in Extra Care Bucks to use next time ($6.99 for the Glade Candle, $2.00 for the Clairol Hair Color and $1.00 for the Nabisco crackers and cookies).

CVS: Vacation Shopping Trip

As you know, my family is away on vacation this week and I'm doing very little shopping. I had a $10.00 ECB that was about to expire and put it to good use while using the least amount of effort possible. So, I purchased five boxes of Electrasol Tablets. They were 4.50 per box for a total of $22.50. Then, I used five $2.50 manufacturer coupons from the July 12, 2009 Smart Source insert-- which brought my total down to $10.00. I paid with a $10.00 ECB and earned a $10.00 ECB in return for purchasing $20.00 worth of Electrasol products. All five boxes of Electrasol tablets were FREE!

I gave all of them to my parents because I hand wash my dishes. Am I the only person alive who still does this?

CVS has lots of freebies this week. I headed there on Sunday morning and was happy to find most all of the freebies in stock. The following purchases were made:

CVS: 75% off Hallmark Cards

Calling all scrapbookers! Check your local CVS store for boxes of Hallmark cards marked 75% off. I purchased a box of ten BEAUTIFUL cards that look like they've each been handmade. The box looks deceiving because the cards inside are SO much nicer than I expected. Below is a photograph of a few of my favorites.

Original price was $10.00, but I paid $2.50--just .25 cents a piece for these beauties!

CVS: Free Packages of Nuts

I scanned my card on the scanner at CVS this evening and received a CRT coupon for $2.00 off any two CVS Gold Emblem Nuts. My store has little bags of assorted types of nuts for .99 cents each . I purchased two bags and used the $2.00 coupon and got both bags for FREE. Did anyone else receive this CRT coupon? These are the perfect size for my husband to take with him for a snack at work.

Heinz Hang Tag Coupons at CVS

Last night, I found hang tag coupons on bottles of Heinz vinegar at CVS. The coupons are:

Due to being out of town, I was unable to make it to my local store until this afternoon. The only item remaining in stock was the Paper Mate pens. I purchased three packages and paid with a $2.97 EBC and earned another $2.97 ECB. Three packages of pens for free!

I was also interested in purchasing two of the glue and two pair of scissors for my son. The store did provide me with a rain check for both of the items. So, if your store doesn't have the items you want in stock, be sure to ask to a rain check.

I made a quick trip to CVS on Sunday morning to pick up a few freebies. The following purchases were made:

3 CVS Invisible Tape ($1.49 each, earned $1.49 ECB back for each--making all three FREE)
2 CVS 10 ct. Pencils (.99 each, earned .99 ECB for each--making both FREE)
1 Pencil Sharpener (.99, earned .99 ECB--making it FREE)

The school supplies will come in handy for my son who starts preschool in September. I'll be holding the tape back to wrap Christmas presents. Planning ahead really does save money!

I ran to CVS this morning. I scanned my card on the scanner and received a CRT coupon for $2.00 off any two CVS Gold Emblem Nuts. Trail mix is on sale this week for $1.50 per bag. I purchased two bags and used the $2.00 coupon--making each bag just .50 cents. Did anyone else receive this coupon?

CVS: 4 Bottles of Purex Laundry Detergent for FREE

Purex laundry detergent is on sale BOGO free this week at CVS. I used two BOGO free printable coupons from coupons.com and was able to get four bottles for FREE. I will warn you in advance that the BOGO free coupon is regionally based, so not all zip codes will be able to print it. Good luck!

CVS 4/12/2009 (Profit of $2.00)

I stopped at CVS this afternoon on the way to our family dinner. I purchased the following:

4 Sobe Lifewater (on sale BOGO and used two BOGO printable coupons HERE--making all four bottles FREE)

2 Colgate Sensitive Enamel Protect ($3.99 each--FREE after ECB--used two $1.00 printable coupons HERE--making a profit of $2.00)

1 Soft Soap Body Wash ($4.99--FREE after ECB)

Thanks to the Colgate printable coupons, I made a profit of $2.00. I paid with extra care bucks from last week and the remaining balance was put on a gift card earned for transferring a prescription last month. I also earned $12.97 in extra care bucks ($7.98 for the Colgate and $4.99 for the Soft Soap) that can be used in the future.

On Sunday, I found the following Nivea coupons at my local CVS:

Both coupons expire on June 30, 2010. We have plenty of time to find a good deal! Be sure to check your local store for these coupons.

CVS: Moneymaker on Cover Girl Makeup and Pringles

I received a CRT coupon at the scanner yesterday for $10/$20 cosmetic purchase. So, I headed back to CVS this afternoon and purchased the following items:

4 Pringles (on sale for .88 cents each, used two $1.00/2 coupons from 4/5 P&G insert)
1 Cover Girl Simply Ageless Foundation ($13.00, used $4.00 coupon from 4/5 P&G insert)
1 Cover Girl Perfect Point Eye Pencil ($5.49 , used $1.00 coupon from 4/5 P&G insert)
1 Cover Girl Eyeshadow ($3.49, used $1.00 coupon from 4/5 P&G insert)

Total before coupons was $25.50. I used the $10/$20 cosmetic purchase CRT and $8.00 in manufacturer coupons which are detailed above. This brought my total down to $7.50. I paid with $7.00 in extra care bucks and put the remainder on a gift card. I also earned $10.00 back in extra care bucks for purchasing $20.00 worth of Cover Girl cosmetics. I got everything pictured for FREE---plus made a profit of $2.50.
