Taco Dip Recipe

I just finished making Taco Dip for a party I'm attending this evening and decided to share the recipe with my readers.

Ingredients:

2 bars of Cream Cheese

1 jar (16 ozs.) of Mild Taco Sauce

Tomato

Shredded Lettuce

Shredded Cheese

Tortilla Chips

Set cream cheese out on the counter top to soften. Combine both bars of cream cheese and the jar of taco sauce in bowl. Mix until ingredients are fluffy (see photo below). It only takes a few minutes in my Kitchen-Aid mixer.

Spread the mixture into a 9 x 13 dish.

Top with shredded lettuce, mild cheddar cheese and tomatoes. Refrigerate until time to serve. In the past, I've also added green peppers, onions and other toppings depending on where I'm taking the dish. My family prefers it with just lettuce, tomato and cheese. Also, to spice it up a bit you can use medium or hot taco sauce. I've been making this recipe for years and I almost always bring the dish home empty. Enjoy! :)

WE LOVE Taco Dip at our house. We literally have it every single week, although once I started noticing it on my hips, I began substituting cottage cheese and light sour cream. :) The cream cheese is yummy though. Thanks for linking up with Tasty Tuesday.
