Money and Time Saving Tip: Pay your bills online

A few months ago, I started paying all of our bills online. My bank offers free online bill pay. It is saving my family quite a bit of money in stamps every month and is saving me lots of time. It takes a few minutes to set up all of the vendor information initially, but then each month I only spend a few minutes actually paying bills. In addition to saving money on stamps, I'm also saving money by not writing as many checks. Have you ordered checks lately? I was surprised at how expensive they were last time I ordered them. Do you participate in online bill payment with your bank? If so, have you found it to be both money and time saving?

For other time and money saving tips, be sure to check out TIPsy Tuesday over at Economical Mom.

Thank you Sara. Great tip!! I've started doing this too. When I finally added up my savings, I couldn't believe the amount. Thanks for sharing this tip.

We do the same. I hated sitting and writing checks and always going to the post office to buy stamps! It saves a butt load of money and time!!

I've been online banking for about 7 years now? Maybe 6. I love it! I've been trying to convince my mom to do it but she actually enjoys writing out checks!

I've been doing this for about a year and I agree that it is so much cheaper AND takes much less time. Great site, Sara. I've been enjoying watching for your deals!
