My family is away at Great Wolf Lodge for the weekend. We're having fun splashing around in the pools, relaxing in the lazy river and going down water slides. Food Lion: Tombstone Pizzas for .83 cents each

Remember the Tombstone Pizza rebate that I posted about HERE? Well....this is the time to use it! Food Lion has Tombstone Pizzas on sale 3/$10.00 this week. I purchased four of them today and paid $13.33. Then, I immediately submitted the $10.00 rebate. Once I receive the rebate check back, it will be like paying $3.33 for FOUR pizzas---just .83 cents each! Don't forget this rebate expires on November 3, 2009.

Food Lion: Kraft Shredded Cheese for $1.00 per package

Food Lion has packages of Kraft Shredded Cheese on sale this week: three packages for $5.00. I purchased three packages and used a blinkie coupon for $2.00 off three packages of Kraft Shreds.

After the coupon and sale, my total was $3.00 for three packages--just $1.00 each! I was completely out of cheese and needed some for recipes I'm making in the next few weeks.

Target: Keebler Cookies for .50 cents per package

Target is running a sale on Keebler cookies this week: Buy two packages ($2.00 each) and get the third one free. I purchased SIX packages of Rainbow Chips Deluxe Cookies (only two are pictured because I already put them away).

Before coupons, my total was $8.00. I used two $1.50/2 Keebler cookies manufacturer printable coupons HERE. I also used three $1.00/2 Keebler Chips Deluxe cookies Target coupons HERE. After coupons, my total was $2.00--just .50 cents per package!

Target: 75% off Crayola Chalk/Paint Products

I found a great tear pad coupon at Food Lion this afternoon. Get a Free Hershey's Syrup (up to $2.99) when you purchase any four Hershey's, Reese's or Heath Baking Chips 8 oz. or larger. The coupon expires on December 31, 2009.

If you're like me and do a lot of baking, then this coupon will definitely come in handy. I do have extras if anyone is interested.

$10.00 Gift Card Rebate

I found a gift card rebate at Food Lion this afternoon. Save $10.00 when you purchase $100.00 worth of gift cards or phone cards (any brand). This rebate is valid from November 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009 for residents of AL, AR, CT, HI, KY, ME, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NY, SD, UT, VA, VT and WV. I have extras if anyone is interested. In the past, I've just purchased a $100.00 grocery gift card and used it for groceries throughout the month.

Opinions please...

I made some chocolate covered pretzels for my neighbor's birthday yesterday and added a label, ribbon and scrapbook paper to embellish them. This picture does not do justice to them, but the lighting in my kitchen isn't very good and I was having trouble getting a good photo.

I have a question for everyone. How much do you think I could sell boxes of these for around the holidays? Each box would contain one dozen hand dipped pretzels and be decorated for the appropriate holiday. I dipped thousands of pretzels last year to give away as holiday gifts and really enjoy doing it. I'm wondering if this hobby could be turned into a little profit around the holidays.

Food Lion has peanut butter on sale for $1.50 this week. Use the $1.00/1 Food Lion printable coupon HERE and pay just .50 cents per jar. Creamy, crunchy and reduced fat varieties were all included in the sale at my local store.

While out running errands this afternoon, I stopped at Sheetz to purchase a hot dog and chips for my son to eat for lunch. I was pleased to find some great Miller Lite rebate forms. Crockpot Broccoli Cheese Soup

This rainy weather makes me want to eat soup! I made Broccoli Cheese Soup a few days ago and thought I'd share this simple recipe with you. I love serving this soup with bread sticks and salad.

Ingredients:

2 boxes of frozen chopped broccoli, thawed

1 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed

10 3/4 can cream of celery soup

14 1/2 oz. can chicken broth

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in the crock pot and cook on low for 4-5 hours. Stir periodically.

Martin's has cans of Swanson Chicken Broth on sale for .60 cents. I purchased three cans and used the .40/3 coupon from the September 27, 2009 Smart Source insert. The coupon doubled and my total for three cans was $1.00. A catalina coupon printed for $1.00 compliments of Swanson. It was like getting three cans of broth for FREE. I don't know how long this promotion will last. If I'm able to find details, I'll be sure to post the information for everyone. Broth is a staple at my household and is used to make many different varieties of soup.

Free Sara Lee Mini Bagels Tear Pad Coupon

I found a tear pad coupon at Weis today for a Free Bag of Sara Lee Mini Bagels (up to $4.19) with purchase of any Sara Lee Soft & Smooth Bread. The coupon expires on November 30, 2009. I have extras if anyone is interested.

CVS: Free Nuts and Pretzels for .28 cents

I stopped at CVS this morning to use some CRT coupons that expired today. The following purchases were made:

2 small bags of CVS nut mixes (.99 cents each; used $2.00/2 CVS nut CRT coupon=FREE)

2 bags of CVS pretzels (on sale .79 cents; used $1.00/2 CVS pretzels CRT coupon=.28 cents each)

Total was .56 cents.

Weis: Jolly Time Popcorn for .69 cents per box

Weis has Jolly Time Popcorn on sale buy one, get one free October 14th . I purchased two boxes and used the $1.00/2 coupon from the September 27, 2009 Smart Source insert--making each box just .69 cents!

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffin Recipe

Fall has arrived in this part of the country and the leaves are beginning to change. I decided to make some Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins for my husband to take to his weekly card game this evening. A few of them were also set aside to enjoy for breakfast tomorrow morning. You can find the recipe for the muffins HERE. The recipe makes thirty muffins.

Weis: Pepsi 2 liters for .30 cents each

Weis has 2 liters of Pepsi products on sale for $1.00. I used two manufacturer coupons for .55/2 Pepsi Max 2 liters which both doubled. This coupon was located inside of a Pepsi/Tostitos rebate booklet discussed HERE.

I also found peelie coupons on bottles of Pepsi products at Weis today. Buy two 2 liter Pepsi products and get a 2 liter bottle of Tropicana juice FREE. I was able to use two of this coupon because of purchasing four Pepsi Max. After coupons, I paid $1.80 for six 2 liter bottles of Pepsi products--just .30 cents each! I'll be saving them for entertaining during the holiday season. Thinking ahead can really save you money.

Weis: Free Wax Paper

Weis has Reynold's Cut-Rite Wax Paper on sale for $1.00 until October 12, 2009. I purchased four boxes and used four .50/1 coupons which doubled--making all four boxes FREE. The coupon was located inside of a baking booklet that I found at the grocery store several months ago. I love having wax paper on hand to use for holiday baking and candy making.

Target: Great Deal on Motts Apple Juice and Applesauce

Target is having another wonderful gift card promotion this week. Buy 5 qualifying Motts products and receive a $5.00 Target gift card.

Transaction 1: I purchased five 64 oz. bottles of Motts Apple Juice which was on sale for $1.75 per bottle. My total was $8.75. I paid with a $5.00 Target gift card earned from a previous promotion. My out of pocket balance was $3.75--just .75 cents per bottle. Plus, I earned another $5.00 gift card for purchasing five participating Motts products

Transaction 2: I purchased five packages of individual Motts Applesauce Cups. Each package was on sale for $1.75. My total for 30 cups of applesauce was $8.75. I paid with the $5.00 Target gift card earned in the above transaction. My out of pocket balance was $3.75--just .75 cents per package. I also earned another $5.00 Target gift card for purchasing five participating Motts products that I'll use on a future purchase.

In conclusion, I purchased five bottles of Motts Apple Juice and five packages of Motts Applesauce Cups today (between two transactions) and my grand total out of pocket was $7.50 plus sales tax! The best part about this deal is that NO coupons are required. Such an easy deal to execute.

I made a quick stop at CVS this morning. Tubes of Neosporin Lip Therapy (normally $5.49) are on sale for $2.78. I purchased two tubes and used two $3.00/1 printable coupons HERE. Both of them were FREE! These will come in handy for chapped lips when the cold weather arrives shortly.

Yesterday, I received a $20.00 rebate check from Kraft for the rebate discussed HERE. Submitting rebates is such a great way to reduce your grocery bill.

This post is for my local readers. There were some great Chick-fil-a coupons in the Martinsburg Journal on Wednesday, September 30, 2009.

The coupons were located on page A-7 and can only be used at the Chick-fil-a in Ranson. All three of the coupons expire on November 30, 2009.

CVS: Great Deal on Tide Laundry Detergent and Dawn

CVS is running a wonderful promotion this week on select Proctor & Gamble products this week. If you purchase $25.00 in participating products, you earn $10.00 in Extra Care Bucks.

On Tuesday, I purchased four bottles of Tide laundry detergent ($6.00 each) and one bottle of Dawn ($1.00) to reach the required $25.00 total. Then, I used a $5.00/$25.00 coupon for taking the flu survey HERE. I also used four $1.00/1 manufacturer Tide coupons and one .20/1 coupon from the recent Proctor & Gamble insert. After coupons, my total was $15.80. I paid using a $10.00 Extra Care Buck and $5.80 on a CVS gift card that I received for transferring a prescription. And, I earned a $10.00 Extra Care Buck for purchasing $25.00 worth of participating Proctor & Gamble products. What a great deal!

Martin's: Yoplait Yogurt for .23 cents each
