Berry picking we go...
This morning, we headed to Orr's and picked red raspberries and blackberries. Aiden had so much fun picking berries and going for a hay ride. What a fun morning for all of us! I'm getting ready to clean the berries and freeze them. The frozen berries are perfect to use in smoothies or as a topping for vanilla ice cream. I am also planning to make the raspberry sauce recipe HERE.
Does anyone have any recipes they'd like to share using raspberries or blackberries? If so, please share. :)

DiGiorno Flatbread Pizza for $1.00
Food Lion has DiGiorno Flatbread Pizzas on sale for $5.50. I used the following coupons: $1.50 manufacturer coupon from the May 17, 2009 Smart Source insert and the $2.00 Food Lion internet printable coupon found HERE. One is a manufacturer and the other is a store coupon so you are allowed to use both. This brought my total down to $2.00 for the pizza. Then, a catalina coupon printed for $1.00 off my next order for purchasing the pizza. This is like paying $1.00 for the pizza! I'll definitely be going back to do this again this week.

Homemade Pizza
Aiden and I had a great time making homemade pizza for dinner this evening. We made him an individual pizza and also a larger one for my husband and I to share. I used a dough recipe that I found online today and it turned out better than expected. I need to get the hang of rolling out the crust a little thinner. Does anyone have a dough recipe they'd recommend? If so, please share!
Yard Sale Treasures (updated with photo)
I was just complaining to a friend a few days ago about how disappointed I've been with yard sales this Summer. Yesterday afternoon, I was headed home from Hagerstown and pulled over to the side of the road to pick up a toy that my son dropped. That is when I noticed a yard sale sign and decided to stop. Boy am I glad! This particular sale had size 3, 4 and 5 boys clothing and everything was in EXCELLENT condition. I purchased the following items:
2 Polo Ralph Lauren sweater vests
1 Polo Ralph Lauren polo shirt
1 Gap long sleeve shirt
4 pair of Jeans (Gap, Kenneth Cole & Old Navy)
1 pair of Gap athletic pants
1 Children's Place jacket
Guess how much I paid for everything listed above?
$4.50!
I was very happy with my purchases. Did anyone else find any Yard Sale Treasures this weekend? I'd love to hear all about your finds.

Mud Room Makeover
Our house has a small Mud Room located in between our garage and kitchen. I used to keep a shoe rack in this space, but found that it collected lots of other clutter. Last year, I made the decision to move our personal computer into this space. I'd been wanting to make a separate space for our personal computer and decided this was just the right spot.
I found a Martha Stewart Butcher Block Island at Kmart on clearance for less than $50.00. I loved that this island was taller than a normal desk and had the Pottery Barn look that I love so much.
Have you used your Mud Room for a different purpose? If so, I'd love to hear all about it!

Freezing Cookie Dough
This morning, I made some homemade sugar cookies. I decided to double the batch and make extra dough to use in the future. I placed wax paper on a cookie sheet and scooped out the dough into balls. Then, I placed the tray into the freezer and to let the dough harden.
After the dough was frozen, I placed the individual balls into a Ziplock vacuum bag and removed the air. The next time I bake cookies, I'll be able to have them ready in minutes! This is my first time freezing the dough and was surprised at how easy it was. Has anyone else ever done this?

Strawberry-Banana Smoothie Recipe
My hubby plays in a golf league on Tuesday evenings and does not join us for dinner. It's quite hot here today so I thought it would be fun to have Strawberry-Banana Smoothies after dinner this evening.
I combined the following ingredients in the blender: 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream, 1/2 cup of 2% milk, 1/2 fresh banana and 3 frozen strawberries. I also topped mine with whipped topping, but Aiden opted out of that addition.
Aiden loved his smoothie!
